Meet Daisy! Daisy, born on July 1, 2015, is a beautiful brindle Greyhound with an absolutely stellar personality! She was surrendered to NCGL by her owners who can no longer take care of her. Daisy LOVES to snuggle with her people, play with toys and hang out in her crate.
Daisy is not cat safe and being a momma dog is quite firm with other dogs. While we feel she would not do well with dogs that get in her face – she would probably do better with a pal that will respect her authority and treat her like the queen she is.
We have not tested Daisy with small dogs. Stay tuned for more information as we get to know her! Daisy will be made available as soon as she’s had all of her vet work done.
Foster Update 2019-09-20
Daisy is a 4-year-old retired momma Greyhound being fostered in Calgary, Alberta. She needs a home with no cats and while she would be great as an only dog, she could also be in a home with another dog that respects that she’s the boss. We think she’d be great with kids that understand boundaries
My name is Daisy and I take my full-time job as people cuddler very seriously; my new foster dad really needs the extra attention. Although I love cuddling with my amazing foster family, they have to go to work during the day and that’s fine; I just lay on my bed and wait until they come home, and I can start my work again! I do enjoy my crate but don’t really need it as I’m such a good girl in the house.
I am very fit! Everyone comments on how ‘shapely’ my amazing booty is! I’m a very picky eater and tend to just eat a few kibbles here and there (I do like it with pumpkin!) but absolutely LOOOOOVE cookies! I don’t know why my foster parents bother feeding me this ‘kibble’ when they could just feed me cookies all day!
My favourite thing to do is go for walks especially in the nice weather. There are so many little critters to find! I think little critters, especially cats, are fun to chase but I’m not allowed near them without out my goalie mask (muzzle).
My foster parents would love to find me a fur-every family. They tell me that I’m a gentle, loving, petite little girl who would be a good fit for just about anyone without a cat (they make good snacks!). I think I would also be fine with some lovely children that go to school or other dogs that don’t mind being told that I’M the new boss in town!
